Are emails useful records?
Emails can help show what was communicated and when, but usefulness depends on completeness, context and authenticity. A timestamp alone does not prove that every statement is accurate. Keep original material and avoid altering the record.
How should I organise co-parenting emails?
Create one folder for routine communication and subfolders or labels for major topics such as school, health, arrangements and expenses. Use a predictable subject format, for example “Sam — dentist appointment — 8 September”.
Export on a regular schedule instead of waiting for a dispute or device failure. Keep the export secure and follow any privacy or disclosure obligations that apply.

The Coparent App provides organised records and export functions. Export the complete relevant period, retain attachments and check the result before relying on it. Do not describe any export as guaranteed court evidence.
