Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy explains what you may and may not do when using The Coparent App website, apps and related services.
If you breach this Policy, we may remove content, limit features, suspend or terminate your account, and report matters to law enforcement or relevant authorities where appropriate.
Purpose of the Service
The Service is provided to help adults organise co-parenting and family administration in a lawful, safe and respectful way.
The Service is not provided for harassment, surveillance, retaliation, intimidation, humiliation, or the publication of allegations or sensitive material beyond what is reasonably necessary for lawful family organisation.
You must not use the Service to do any of the following
- break any law or regulation;
- harass, threaten, abuse, stalk, blackmail, coerce or intimidate another person;
- post or send defamatory, hateful, discriminatory, fraudulent or deceptive content;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or authority;
- upload, store or distribute child sexual abuse material, grooming material, non-consensual intimate images, terrorist content, violent extremist material, or content promoting suicide or serious self-harm;
- upload malware, spyware, ransomware, malicious code or harmful scripts;
- interfere with the Service, bypass security, attempt unauthorised access, or test vulnerabilities without permission;
- scrape, harvest or bulk-collect data from the Service;
- use the Service to send spam, mass unsolicited messages or commercial promotions;
- infringe intellectual property, confidentiality, privacy, publicity or data-protection rights;
- use the Service to monitor or track another person unlawfully;
- publish private personal information, identity documents, payment details or highly sensitive information unless it is reasonably necessary and you are lawfully entitled to do so;
- upload material you know or reasonably believe to be false in a way likely to cause harm;
- store excessive or unrelated files that are not connected to reasonable personal use of the Service; or
- use the Service in a way that could endanger a child or vulnerable person.
Content standards
You are responsible for all material you upload, send, store or publish using the Service.
Content must be lawful, accurate to the best of your knowledge, relevant to the Service, and proportionate in scope.
You should avoid uploading unnecessary medical data, criminal allegations, financial records, or children’s sensitive data unless reasonably necessary for the intended purpose and lawfully supplied.
Copyright and rights clearance
You must only upload or share material where you own it, are licensed to use it, or are otherwise legally entitled to submit it through the Service.

Reporting concerns
If you see content or behaviour that may breach this Policy, please report it through the Service if that feature is available, or email info@thecoparent.app.
Please include enough detail for us to investigate, including relevant account information, dates, links, screenshots or file names where possible.
Moderation and enforcement
We may investigate suspected breaches of this Policy and may take action including:
- issuing warnings;
- removing or restricting access to content;
- disabling uploads, messaging or sharing features;
- blocking or restricting access to all or part of the Service;
- suspending or terminating accounts; and
- preserving or disclosing information where reasonably necessary for safeguarding, legal compliance, fraud prevention, security or law enforcement.
Storage misuse
The Service is subject to our Storage Fair Use Policy.
You must not use the Service as a general bulk-storage, media-backup, archive or file-hosting platform unrelated to reasonable co-parenting and family administration use.
Emergency and safeguarding
The Service is not monitored as an emergency or crisis-reporting channel. If there is an immediate risk of harm, contact the emergency services, police, social services, or another appropriate authority straight away.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page with the updated date.
